How do I view the status of my Application for Admission and my admission requirements?

  1. On the Student tab, click Banner Self Service.
  2. Then click the Student link.
  3. Select Admissions.
  4. Under Admission Term, select Your Application. If the option to select a specific term is not available, your Application has not yet been received or entered into DSCC's system.
  5. Once you select your Application, your Admission Requirements will be listed. Check the Received and Status columns. If blank, the admission requirement is still needed.

How do I add or drop courses?

  1. On the Student tab, click Banner Self Service.
  2. Then click the Student link.
  3. Click Registration and then Registration Status.
  4. Select the desired term to view holds and academic standing, curriculum information, etc.
  5. Click Return to Menu to go back to Registration.
  6. Click Add or Drop Classes.
  7. Select the term.
  8. On Add or Drop Classes page, scroll down and enter Course Reference Numbers (CRNs) in the boxes, starting from the left.
  9. Click Submit Changes.
  10. Continue to register for classes until all of your selected courses appear.
  11. To drop a course, scroll down to current schedule and click on drop down arrow and choose the available drop option.
  12. Click Submit Changes.

How do I view my schedule of classes?

  1. On the Student tab, click Banner Self Service.
  2. Then click the Student link.
  3. Click Registration.
  4. If prompted, select the desired term.
  5. At the Registration menu, click Student Detail Schedule.
  6. For a condensed schedule, select Week at a Glance. In the Go To field, enter a date after the first day of classes (for example, 09/01/2008). Click Submit.

How do I search for classes?

  1. On the Student tab, click Banner Self Service.
  2. Then click the Student link.
  3. Select Registration.
  4. Click Look Up Classes and select desired term.
  5. Choose a subject in the "Subject" field (i.e. ENGL for English).
  6. If you know the course number, you may enter it in the "Course" Number field (i.e. 1010).
  7. For best results, leave remaining fields at their default settings and click Class Search.
  8. You may register for a displayed class by placing a checkmark in the box to the left of the class, scrolling to the bottom of the screen and clicking Register. It is recommended to click on Register rather than Add to Worksheet. When you add to worksheet, you are not registered yet and the course could close.

How do I find my advisor's name?

  1. On the Student tab, click Banner Self Service.
  2. Then click the Student link.
  3. Select Student Records.
  4. Select View Student Information.
  5. If prompted, select the desired term.
  6. On the General Student Record page, see Primary Advisor.

How do I know if my attendance has been reported by my instructors?

  1. On the Student tab, click Banner Self Service.
  2. Then click the Student link.
  3. Select Student Records.
  4. Select Attendance Reporting .
  5. Select the desired term and click [SUBMIT].
  6. Look at the information displayed in the "Attending" column.
    1. Yes = Attending
    2. No = Not Attending
    3. Not Reported - Attendance has not been reported by the instructor.
  7. ATTENDANCE IS NOT REPORTED FOR LABS.
  8. The Date Confirmed column will indicate the date for a value of Yes or No. No date will display for Not Reported.

How do I sign up for direct deposit?

  1. At www.dscc.edu, click Current Students at the top of the page.
  2. Select the Business Office link in the left column.
  3. Select "Direct Deposit ACH Payment Enrollment Authorization Form".
  4. Complete the form, print, sign and date using ink, and present it and a photo I.D. to a DSCC cashier on one of our three campus locations.
  5. It will take up to 10 days after receipt of this form by the Business Office for the authorization to be processed. No direct deposits can be made into your account until this is completed.
  6. You will be notified via your MyDSCC email upon receipt of this form by the Business Office.

How do I confirm enrollment/pay fees?

  1. At www.dscc.edu click My DSCC
  2. Log in with your User name and Password
  3. Click on the Student Tab
  4. Under Registration Tools, click on Payment of Fees/Confirmation of Enrollment 
  5. Select your Term of enrollment; then click submit
  6. Read the Statement of Responsibility for Educational Costs
  7. If you will be attending, Click on Yes, I will attend during [Term]. Wait for a confirmation number
  8. If you do not get a confirmation number, this means you have a balance due and the system will automatically re-direct you to your student account activity page. Students with partial financial aid are not considered confirmed until the balance is paid in full or until enrollment in the Deferred Payment Plan has been completed and the appropriate deferred payment is made.

How do I find my advisor's name?

  1. On the Student tab, click Banner Self Service.
  2. Then click the Student link.
  3. Select Student Records.
  4. Select View Student Information.
  5. If prompted, select the desired term.
  6. On the General Student Record page, see Primary Advisor.

Your advisor's name will be listed. If you do not know how to contact your advisor, email Enroll@dscc.edu for assistance.

 

How do I view my midterm grades?

  1. On the Student tab, click Banner Self Service.
  2. Then click the Student link.
  3. Select Student Records.
  4. Select Midterm Grades.
  5. Select the desired term and click [SUBMIT].
  6. Your midterm grades will appear if this feature is available in Banner Self Service.

How do I view my final grades?

  1. On the Student tab, click Banner Self Service.
  2. Then click the Student link.
  3. Select Student Records.
  4. Select Final Grades.
  5. Select the desired term and click [SUBMIT].
  6. Your final grades, along with your Academic Standing, and Grade Point Average (GPA), will appear if this feature is available in Banner Self Service.

 

Financial Aid Eligibility and Award

How do I check my financial aid eligibility?

  1. On the Student tab, click Banner Self Service.
  2. Select Financial Aid.
  3. Click the Eligibility link.
  4. Select Aid Year and click submit
  5. You can check Holds, Student Requirements, Requirement Messages, and Academic Progress

How do I check my financial aid award?

  1. On the Student tab, click Banner Self Service.
  2. Then click the Financial Aid.
  3. Click on the Award folder and choose Award for Aid Year.
  4. Select Aid Year and click [SUBMIT].
  5. You can check Account Summary By Term, Award for Aid Year, Award Payment Schedule, Award History, and Withdrawal Information.

How do I check for my financial aid refund?

  1. On the Student tab, click on the email envelope. An email is sent from the Business Office when a refund has been processed.

How do I find the 1098T information?

  1. On the Student tab, under Registration Tools, click View my 1098-T.
  2. Enter Tax year and click submit.

 

How do I request a copy of my DSCC transcript

To request an unofficial copy (for your personal use)

  1. On the Student tab, click Banner Self Service.
  2. Click the Student link.
  3. Click Student Records.
  4. Click Academic Transcript.
  5. Enter the required information and Submit.
  6. Print the unofficial copy.

To request an official copy (one that is mailed by DSCC)

  1. On the Student tab, click Banner Self Service.
  2. Click the Student link.
  3. Click Student Records.
  4. Click Request Printed Transcript.
  5. Additional instructions will display.

Please allow 3-5 business days for your request to be processed.

How do I request verification of my enrollment?

  1. On the Student tab, click Banner Self Service.
  2. Click the Student link.
  3. Click Student Records.
  4. Click Request Enrollment Verification.
  5. Additional instructions will display.

Note: By design, Insurance Company is the default recipient; however, enter name and address or fax number of the recipient of your enrollment verification.

Please allow 3-5 business days for your request to be processed.

How Do I Reset My Password?

  1. Go to https://accounts.dscc.edu.
  2. To change your password, click the Reset Password Link.
  3. Enter your DSCC Username, and click continue.
  4. Enter your date of birth and the last four digits of your Social Security number. You will also need to enter the characters listed in the box below, and click continue.
  5. The next box will open giving you the option to choose your new password. Confirm your password, and enter the figures in the box below. Click the Reset Password button to confirm your password reset.
  6. A box will open to let your know that your password has been changed successfully.

How do I change my information?

  1. At home page click on "Form Center"
  2. In the category box click in the Admissions and Records box
  3. Look for the "Change of Information" form.
  4. This form can be used to change name, address, degree, major, and concentration (some documentation may be require)
